About Me
My name is Nathan Sawaya and I started my instagram page @nathsway in 2020, which was an idea I had in high school to show my curious friends and family where we were headed and it just grew from there! Photography has been a hobby of mine ever since I picked up my first camera at the age of 12 so I naturally became drawn to capturing moments. From birthdays to baby showers to engagements to weddings, my time in university was shared with taking photos of special moments for loved ones. It was really only until I finished university and landed a full time marketing job that I found my passion for travel.
After studying 4 years at university to land this great marketing job at one of Australia’s best shopping centres, I felt like I needed to get out and see the world. My curiosity finally got the better of me and literally anytime I had annual leave I would take a few days off to fly out to explore a different region in Australia. In August 2022, I left the job I worked so hard for to pursue my passion for travel and I haven’t looked back ever since. Today I have a follower base of nearly 300k, who love to explore as much as I do and I feel so grateful that I can showcase the best of Australia every single day on the road.
This blog is my take on the island country we live in and how I explore every nook and cranny at every possible opportunity. From challenging multi day hikes to uniquely Australian experiences, I hope this blog becomes a source of inspiration to get you out there exploring our beautiful backyard down under.
